On April 23 and 24, 2024, the "Ideas that change Romania" conference was held at the Palace of the Parliament, organized by the Commission for European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies in collaboration with the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization, the Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and of Tourism, the National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises in Romania and the National Directorate of Cyber Security.
The InAfaceri.ro team was present at this event, representing the Romanian business environment in front of the authorities and the other participants, with the aim of informing and facilitating the absorption of European funds.
As the host, the president of the Commission for European Affairs, deputy Ștefan Mușoiu, emphasized the importance of dialogue and collaboration between the public sector and the business environment in order to stimulate innovation and maximize the potential for absorption of European funds. "This initiative represents a platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas, with the aim of generating concrete results for the benefit of Romania", he declared.
During the discussion panel on the first day, under the theme "Entrepreneurship and innovation - challenges, opportunities, perspectives", representatives from the business environment and public authorities had an intensive dialogue about stimulating entrepreneurship and strengthening the partnership between the state and the private environment in order to create a favorable framework for sustainable and innovative businesses.
Representatives of public authorities including: Adrian Câciu – Minister of Investments and European Projects, Ștefan Radu Oprea – Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Andrei Alexandru – Secretary of State within the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization, Florin-Marian Spătaru – State Counselor within the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, presented their vision and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public sector and the business environment in the implementation of innovative projects and economic development objectives.
In turn, the representatives of the business environment shared their perspectives and experience in their areas of expertise: Cristian Onețiu – Forbes TOP 500 Entrepreneur / Investor / Business Mentor, Sorin Preda – Founder CEO GLOBAL VISION, Corneliu Bodea – Adrem CEO and CRE President (Romanian Energy Centre), Dr. Ștefan Vuza – President of Chimcomplex, Constantin Damov – President of Green Group Romania and of the Circular Economy Coalition (CERC)
The debates were applied and aroused the interest of the participants, addressing problems and opportunities of Romanian entrepreneurship, the prioritization of investments in infrastructure and logistics, the energy transition, the reindustrialization of Romania and the circular economy.
On April 24, the conference continued with the theme "Development of the cyber security ecosystem", highlighting the importance of strengthening this essential sector in the context of digital transformations.
